With Super Bowl XLVII officially set to square off in less than two weeks between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers, this year’s “HarBowl” will feature two brothers in Jim Harbaugh and John Harbaugh squaring off as well as brothers. There will be numerous key factors as far as who will win this game, but nobody may be more of a factor than tight end Vernon Davis.

All season, everybody knew Davis was capable of being one of the league’s top pass-catching tight end and after catching five passes for 106 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship, Colin Kaepernick will need a strong performance from him once again. Davis has one of the biggest bodies in the league that makes it difficult for any defender to contain and with most of the attention focusing on Michael Crabtree–the 49ers will look to take advantage of him in the passing game.

San Francisco has been known for their defense throughout the entire season, but the offense has taken their game to a whole new level since Kaepernick took over the starting job at quarterback and how well they perform against Baltimore will rely heavily on the performance of Davis.

He’s proven to be one of the league’s best pass-catching tight ends in the league numerous times and Davis finally has the opportunity to shine in world’s biggest stage in New Orleans. After falling just short of their goal last year, don’t be surprised if Davis helps his coach win the first of what could be many “HarBowl” matchups over the next couple of seasons.
