With the Super Bowl less than two weeks away, there’s plenty of talk beginning to heat up about which players could be on the move during the offseason. One of the top Miami Dolphins rumors that has been swirling for a few weeks now–Greg Jennings of the Green Bay Packers joining the team for the 2013 season.
Jennings is scheduled to be a free agent this offseason and depending on how much the Packers are willing to offer considering all of the weapons they already have on offense–it wouldn’t be a surprise if the wideout decided to explore his options around the league. Miami would most likely be willing to offer more money than some of the other teams considering how desperate they are for a big playmaker at wide receiver–so it wouldn’t be a surprise if they made a run for Jennings at all.
Of course, the main factor in this scenario will end up being whether Jennings would be willing to join a team like the Dolphins over the Packers. To go from an MVP-type quarterback in Aaron Rodgers to a young, developing quarterback like Ryan Tannehill is a huge difference for any receiver–so it should be interesting to see how that would play out.
Either way, a player like Jennings would make a great edition for a team like the Jennings and the worst they can do in this scenario is not try–which is why it could turn into an interesting offseason down in Miami once free agency officially gets under way.
