NFL Must Worry About Weather For Super Bowl XLVIII Next Year

With Super Bowl XLVII coming up in a little over a week, talk about next year’s game is already starting. Next year’s game is at Giants Stadium, which leads to the possibility of weather getting involved in the game. I don’t know if the National Football League really thought about that when they awarded the game therel but the NFL should be praying for good weather that weekend.

It is wintertime in the Northeast in February, and the possibility of snow happening is very likely. Also, you can almost bet that the temperatures are going to be very cold when the game is going on. The NFL prides itself on the fans enjoying themselves during the game and if the wind chill is -20, I bet this site will never be picked again.

It was a curious choice in the first place when New York got the game and I’m still not sure why they got it as opposed to other cities in the north without a domed stadium. There are going to be a lot of very nervous people at the NFL who will be looking at the Old Farmer’s Almanac and such between now and February 2014 hoping for the best from Mother Nature.

I really fear that the NFL is going to get burned in this one and there will be snow during the Super Bowl. That would be the only second time that rain or snow happens during a game if it happens but I believe that it is a 50/50 bet of weather happening. I can’t wait to see what happens if the weather becomes a factor. Andy Schmidt is a columnist/writer for RantSports.
