The New Orleans Saints will not be playing in their home stadium for the Super Bowl this season as the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers will be squaring off this Sunday. In the mean time the coaches and management of the Saints are busy prepping for the 2013 NFL draft, working out player contracts and filling open coaching vacancies among other things. Some of the players will be taking in the Super Bowl festivities in New Orleans and others are on vacation.
However, there is one big name that will be on camera helping with the Super Bowl coverage. The Saints’ star quarterback, Drew Brees, will appear on the daytime CBS talk show, The Talk, this Thursday. The show is taping all week in New Orleans as part of CBS’ Super Bowl coverage and Brees will be one of the co-hosts for the week.
Along with Brees, actress Vanessa Williams and chef Jamie Deen will be appearing on The Talk on Thursday. I am sure Brees would much rather be playing in the Super Bowl, but I am sure he will enjoy his time on the show. Brees has great charisma and the camera loves him and I think he will put on a great show.
Brees will be the “football” expert this week and I would expect him to break down the big game. However, The Talk is much like ABC’s The View, so they will no doubt be talking about worldly views as well. It will be interesting to see Brees talk about things other than football because he is definitely more than just an NFL player.
