Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings is a free agent and by the looks of it, his time in Green Bay is over and he knows it. Today it was reported that the wide receiver put his house in De Pere, Wisconsin on the market.

The second round pick in 2006 has played his entire career for the Packers and will be one of the hotter commodities to hit the free agent market later this year. Jennings has three 1,000 yard seasons under his belt and has scored 53 touchdowns in his Packers career, but he is smart enough to read the writing on the wall. Green Bay will likely move on with their younger options of Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Randall Cobb, who showed he was ready for a much bigger role in the offense this season.

Jennings is coming off an injury plagued season, but he will likely get a long look from wide receiver starved teams like the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars. He will be 30 years old during the 2013 season, but he is still capable of beating defenses with his route running and skills. Jennings never had blazing speed, but he knows how to get open and excels at running after the catch. It will be difficult to picture Jennings in another uniform, but that’s what all the signs are pointing to.

Jennings won a Super Bowl with the Packers and he will be missed in Green Bay, but as they say, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Some team is about to get a treasure with Greg Jennings.
