Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas' Civil Lawsuit Gets Dismissed

A lawsuit filed against Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas has fortunately been dismissed. This decision was expected as Thomas was supposedly just a witness in the case and didn’t have any involvement with the incident other than being at the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong person.

These sort of things tend to happen a lot when you are with bad company. Thomas was allegedly involved in former Broncos cornerback Perrish Cox‘s sexual assault case. Cox is now a reserve cornerback with the San Fransicso 49ers and was acquitted on two charges of sexual assault in March 2012.

All charges were dropped against Thomas, who claims that he was indeed with Cox and the victim that night at a night club in December 2010. He took Cox and the victim home and admitted kissing the alleged victim before the alleged sexual assault took place between Cox and the victim.

The Judge’s order reads: “[the] plaintiff and Thomas have acknowledged the other has admitted no fault, wrongdoing, liability or obligation to one another.”

On the other hand, Cox’s DNA was found in the woman who claims that she was passed out when the action took place. Cox has denied the situation several times and has even commented that “maybe she did it while I was passed out.”

Come on, man! I don’t see that happening.

In the meantime maybe Thomas should pick better friends to hang around with. The Broncos have too good of a thing going for him to mess it up for the team or for himself for that matter.
