Ray Rice Enjoying Every Moment Heading Into Super Bowl XLVII
Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans is going to be a very interesting experience for Ray Rice. The Baltimore Ravens will try for their second Super Bowl title in franchise history and a lot of their hopes are going to be on the legs of Rice. Rice will have a crack at winning his first Super Bowl on Sunday and is excited to get playing.
“Honestly, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. My first time down at the Super Bowl was my second year in the National Football League. I’m going to soak up every moment because this is something that some people only get to do once or twice. Some people get lucky, but not many people get to do this at all, so I’m just blesses to be where I’m at today.”
Rice I’m sure will take every chance he gets to soak up every moment on Sunday before game time arrives. Rice added that he is excited about getting to play with someone he watched win a Super Bowl over a decade ago.
“It’s been a great journey for me. I just have a lot in my life. I started playing football when I was seven years old. I actually got to watch Ray Lewis win the Super Bowl, and now I get to play with him. I think that’s pretty cool when you put it all in perspective.”
That perspective has been important for Rice at his height. He’s not the tallest guy in the world but runs with the power of many much-bigger running backs. Anyone who plays fantasy football knows all about Rice and what he can do. If the Ravens are going to win the Super Bowl, Rice needs to have a big game to send Lewis out a winner. This is a run-driven team behind Rice and Rice will need to prove his worth early and often.
