On Thursday at a Super Bowl Media conference room, Jerry Rice, Mike Ditka, Trent Dilfer, and Cris Carter were all available to the media for about an hour. I tried to get at least seven or eight minutes of each guy and below in this article, I have posted the group interview with Mike Ditka, Hall of Famer and head coach of the 1985 Super Bowl Champion Chicago Bears.
I get a question in to Ditka about what the Bears need to work on this off-season and he had quite a lot to say on the matter, and voiced his disagreement with Lovie Smith’s firing. That video is below (apologies for the blur factor) and my question is at 8:30.
Other highlights include Ditka saying “come on, man” to both the Dan Marino‘s love child story and Randy Moss claiming he is the best wide receiver in the history of the game. He said after that he thought the two best wide receivers in the game were both in the room that day. That would be referring to Jerry Rice and Cris Carter. (I will post their videos this weekend as well.)
Ditka appeared relaxed and happy to be back in New Orleans for this game; he was the coach of the New Orleans Saints for three years after his time with the Bears and still has a soft spot for the city and its people. Many thanks to Gatorade and check back later for more Rant Sports Super Bowl coverage.
