Super Bowl XLVII: Jacoby Jones Goes the Distance

Talk about opening up the second half in the best way possible. Baltimore Ravens KR Jacoby Jones takes the second half kickoff and sets an NFL record with a 109 yard TD. He broke just one tackle before he was gone. Nobody was going to catch him and he knew it before he even crossed the 50.

This is terrible news for the San Francisco 49ers. In the NFC Championship they were able to come back from a 17 point deficit, but that was against a Atlanta Falcons team playing with maybe half of the emotion the Ravens are currently playing the Super Bowl with. It’s crazy, a lot of people predicted a blowout by the 49ers, but we are seeing the exact opposite of that today.

Joe Flacco is playing at an elite level right now and after this win, he could be considered an elite quarterback. He is absolutely embarrassing Jim Harbaugh which makes me very happy. John Harbaugh deserves this win so much more. He treats the officials with a little more respect and his quarterback has more than 11 starts under his belt.

At this point, people are asking if Alex Smith has the ability to take San Francisco to glory. The answer is no, Smith does not have the play-making ability to lead this team to a victory when they are down by this much. If they want to win this game, they will keep Colin Kaepernick in the game and hope he can get something going.

It will take a miracle for the 49ers to pull this one out. I just hope they make the game close, because at this point only the Ravens are putting on a show.
