New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski Needs to Stop Acting Idiotic

One of the most interesting topics during the offseason will be whether or not the New England Patriots would have won Super Bowl XLVII if Rob Gronkowski–who fractured his forearm against the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round of the playoffs–were healthy enough to play for the rest of the postseason. When healthy, there’s no question Gronkowski is one of the best pass-catching tight ends in the league and is nearly impossible to contain at times, but it may be time for the Patriots to express some concern over their tight end.

A video has surfaced of Gronkowski from Sunday in Las Vegas in which he’s partying with his shirt off (no surprise there) and even took the time to body slam one of his friends. It’s understandable that Gronkowski wants to have a good time, but this type of behavior for his situation is completely unacceptable and the tight end needs to be smarter about his decisions in the future.

The Patriots have invested too much money in Gronkowski to have him acting like this in public and it makes the situation even worse that he’s still recovering from a broken forearm. Gronkowski will always have the reputation of a guy who likes to party and he has every right in the world to do so, but to put himself in the position of making his injury worse was nothing short of stupid.

However, body slamming friends with a cast on your arm is not the smartest idea in the world and the Patriots need to figure out a way to get through to him considering this isn’t the first time Gronkowski’s partying habits have come into question.
