The use of PEDs has been quite the popular topic in the NFL over the last few weeks ever since Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis was linked to deer antler spray. Now, it appears the topic could heat up even more after interesting comments made by Arian Foster of the Houston Texans.

Foster recently discussed in an interview how he’s been around players in the NFL that cheat with steroids and as bad as it sounds–it shouldn’t really come as much of a surprise. Whether they want to admit it or not, it’s no secret in the NFL that some players have felt the need to gain an edge over opponents by using PEDs, but players aren’t investigated as much as they should be.

As for Foster’s case, he’s luckily one of those players that will most likely never have his name linked to PEDs considering how much effort he puts into taking care of his body. Foster is the type of player that recognizes the value of hard work paying off and there’s a reason why he’s ranked near the top of the league over the last couple of years as one of the best running backs.

If only these players who cheat had the mindset of Foster when it comes to putting in the extra hard work to get to the next level–there wouldn’t be as much controversy in the NFL when it comes to these specific group of players gaining an edge.
