The 2013 National Football League season is going to be one that is very important to any future success for the Tennessee Titans. The Titans will hopefully have Jake Locker available for the full season after getting hurt this past season and if Locker can stay healthy, Tennessee could make teams in the AFC South very uncomfortable next season.
Locker came out with massive expectations as the No. 8 pick in the draft. However, he hasn’t had the same success that many of the rookie quarterbacks in recent years have had. That is something that can’t be very comfortable for him and he has to know it.
He has to find a way to get the Titans back to at least the .500 mark in 2013 or he may be labeled a bust. That will be weighing on him all offseason and into next year. Locker has to come out confident when the 2013 season gets started and get Tennessee off to a hot start to take some of the pressure off of him.
I’m confident that the Titans can turn things around if Locker can make better decisions from the quarterback position. The AFC South has talented teams all over, but it appears that Tennessee can change things with solid years from Locker along with Chris Johnson and Kenny Britt in 2013. It may not look likely right now on paper, but it is something that must be looked at for the Titans. I believe it all comes down to Locker and how much he can mature before next season.
