Trading Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald is Not an Option
There are always a lot of rumors surrounding Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald. I don’t believe a single one of them, but if there is any truth to them, the Cardinals need to stop what they are doing. Right now, when an outside sports fan thinks of the Cardinals the first name that pops into their mind is Fitzgerald. He is a class act and one of the best receivers in the game. Do not pay any attention to his numbers because the quarterbacks throwing him the ball would probably not start in the CFL.
With exception of QB Kevin Kolb, the Cardinals do not have a single man worth talking about. People say that Kolb is worthless, but they couldn’t be more wrong. Do I think they can bring in somebody better? Absolutely, but until they do, stop talking like there is a competition for the position. John Skelton is a bust, Ryan Lindley is showing all the signs of a bust and just don’t even pretend like Brian Hoyer should start in this league.
The Cardinals must get better on the offensive line and that is all they should worry about if they cannot find a better option than Kolb. The Cardinals have hinted towards drafting a quarterback in the first round, but I will tell you right now, that is a mistake. They need to draft a real right/left tackle and when OT Levi Brown is healthy, this offensive line will be just fine next year.
Fitzgerald is the heart and soul of this team. People think it’s their defense and they are also correct, but when it comes to the things players do on and off the field, there is nobody and I mean nobody better than Fitzgerald. If the Cardinals trade Fitzgerald they might as well sell their franchise because the fans will be so upset they won’t even want to attend a game next year.
