Dirk Nowitzki Should Hang A Tony Romo Jersey In His Locker

Athletes always have superstitions but usually they keep them for themselves. However, in the case of Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki, he may have wasted all his mojo on Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. The basketball player feels he is responsible for the Super Bowl and MVP winning ways for the football player.

A few weeks ago, Nowitzki hung a Ravens jersey autographed by Joe Flacco in his locker, and according to him, it was his hanging of the jersey that guided Flacco and the Ravens.

“I guess I got him hot,” Nowitzki said. “It’s been in there before everyone thought he had a chance.”

Apparently the athletes have a healthy respect for each other and have exchanged autographed jerseys. The biggest question to me though, is why doesn’t the big German hang a jersey of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo in his locker? Nowitzki and Romo do have a friendship, so it wouldn’t be a surprise for Dirk to have, or ask for, a signed jersey from Romo. Heck, Romo or the Cowboys should just send one over to Nowitzki. Actually they should wait until the NFL season begins because who knows how much magic Dirk has left?

There is also something to be said for making your own luck, but that hasn’t helped the Cowboys and their quarterback recently, so any edge that can be gained would certainly be welcomed at this point. Of course, this is all in good fun but Dirk should show some pride in his city and at least think about hanging a number ‘9’ jersey in his locker.

So do the right thing Dirk and hang Tony Romo’s jersey in your locker, the city of Dallas is hoping this works.
