Thanks to Gatorade, I was able to sit in on Eli Manning’s group media interview at the Gatorade Fuel Bar. He had some advice for the Harbaugh parents before the game, and also talked about some of the New Orleans cuisine that he indulges in the offseason.
I get my question in first and I asked Eli about his family’s excitement to be home in New Orleans and if he was excited for the game on Sunday. He would obviously would have loved to be playing in the game, but it must be partly nice to have some family time in his birth place as well.
Next year’s Super Bowl will be in New York, and Eli is always holding out hope that him and Peyton can go head to head in a Super Bowl now that his big brother is in the AFC. (8:45) He says he would not dread the game, but the game on Sunday would be “tough” on his parents to say the least.
It’s been a goal of mine to interview a Manning for some time and I was thrilled to be able to do so. You can also view my one-on-one interview with Eli here. Stay tuned for more Gatorade Fuel Bar interviews later this week including A.J. Green, Von Miller, and Russell Wilson. Also will be posting Roger Goodell’s press conference hopefully tomorrow and my many thoughts on it.
