Ahmad Bradshaw Could Return to New York Giants, Likes New York Jets
The New York Giants surprisingly cut running back Ahmad Bradshaw last week and now there’s speculation that he could return to the team or even join the one “across the street.” Bradshaw said the Giants “left the door open” for him to come back and also said he’s “excited” about the possibility of signing with the New York Jets. You’re probably thinking, “What’s wrong with this dude?”
Playing for the Jets doesn’t excite anyone, but Bradshaw simply wants to stay close to home. That’s completely understandable and it’s actually refreshing for a player to want something like this and it just so happens that Bradshaw plays in the city that is home to two NFL teams.
Bradshaw is still recovering from foot surgery that he underwent during the NFL playoffs, in which the Giants did not participate this past season. He needs seven more weeks of rehab before he’ll be ready to go, so whichever team that signs him will know exactly what they’re getting this summer once OTAs minicamps begin.
It will be very odd to see Bradshaw in any other uniform but the Giants’ and especially if it’s the Jets’ green, but the latter team might be in need of a running back as Shonn Greene is a free agent and he hasn’t exactly wowed during his time with New York’s “other team.” Of course, Bradshaw could easily end up back with the Giants, so don’t plan on seeing anything weird just yet.
