After helping the Baltimore Ravens top the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII, it appears Jacoby Jones will have his eyes set on another championship this off-season–Dancing With the Stars.

ABC promoted a commercial for Jones appearing as one of the contestants for the next season of the hit show during the Oscar’s on Sunday and if his moves on the football field are any indication of what to expect–it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Ravens wideout was considered one of the favorites heading into the competition. Jones showed off his dancing skills following touchdowns throughout the regular season and playoffs–so it should be interesting to see what he brings to the dance floor.

As other professional athletes have demonstrated in the past, Jones may have the advantage over his competition heading in considering he’s used to training for long periods of time throughout the day on the football field. Former NFL stars Emmitt Smith and Donald Driver had what it takes to win in previous years and there’s no reason why Jones shouldn’t be able to do the same.

Of course, the one Raven that comes to mind who everyone would have loved to see perform on the show is Ray Lewis. For a player that’s always been known for his introduction dance before games, it would have been fun to see how well he would have performed in the professional dancing atmosphere.

Either way–at least fans will enjoy watching Jones make the transition to professional dancing after showing off his skills on the football field.
