2013 NFL Draft: Will the Philadelphia Eagles Consider Dion Jordan at No. 4?

From players to the coaching staff, the Philadelphia Eagles have made numerous changes during the offseason to bounce back from last year’s embarrassing 4-12 finish. Clearly, changes were necessary this offseason since the Eagles appeared to be Super Bowl contenders on paper at the beginning of the year and with the No. 4 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, Philadelphia could focus on numerous areas in need of help–especially on defense.

Chip Kelly was recently praising Dion Jordan after his former player displayed phenomenal numbers at this year’s NFL Combine and as crazy as it sounds–the Eagles could certainly use an effective pass rusher with his type of skills. For a team that used to be known for having one of the league’s top defenses a couple of years ago, the Eagles have been on the decline over the last couple of seasons and they hope to turn things around heading into 2013.

Obviously, there’s plenty of talk about the possibility of this happening due to the fact that Kelly coached Jordan at Oregon, but it’s difficult to ignore a player with his talent level–especially with the way he performed at the NFL Combine. There’s still plenty of time before the draft arrives, but Jordan is certainly one of the key players to keep an eye on when it comes to potential prospects for Philadelphia to take at No. 4.

If Kelly was willing to bring Dennis Dixon on board, it wouldn’t be a surprise at all if did the same with Jordan.
