Dallas Cowboys Need To Stop Talking About Former Coach Rob Ryan

It seems likes everyday there is a new person from the Dallas Cowboys organization talking about former defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. Players DeMarcus Ware, Jason Hatcher and Brandon Carr spoke about their former coach and then head coach Jason Garrett and Vice President of the Cowboys Stephen Jones each had their say about why it didn’t work out with Ryan.

Then there was this week at the NFL Combine, where owner Jerry Jones told his side of the story as to why the Cowboys showed Ryan the door. According to Jones, it was because Ryan’s defense relied too much on scheme and Jones had issues with it long before Ryan was fired.

Never before has such a mediocre coach caused so much of a commotion over being fired. In the end, the only thing there wasn’t confusion over was the fact that the Cowboys wanted to go in another direction with the defense. That should be the end of the discussion as it pertains to Ryan and everyone within the organization should stop talking about him. The questions should stop about him too because Ryan’s time in Dallas is up and they’ve all been answered over and over again.

It’s been 49 days since Ryan has been fired and people are still talking about him! The man has already taken and left another job, then got hired again in that time span, so it’s time for the Cowboys to move on. They hired a much better defensive coach in Monte Kiffin and he should be the focus now, not the coach who couldn’t get it done.

Enough with all the Rob Ryan talk! His time has come and gone in Dallas and he couldn’t get the job done. The Cowboys have someone new leading their defense now and that’s where the focus needs to be.
