New York Jets Organization Gives Back To Fans, Invites Them To Conference Call
The New York Jets are doing everything they can to keep their fan base interested in team management, one of their most recent tactics being through a conference call. The Jets have invited all season ticket holders to join on a conference call March 5th to discuss the draft and free agency, being conducted by general manager John Idzik and head coach Rex Ryan.
It’s nice to see actions such as this that show that the Jets organization truly cares about the fans. Fans are encouraged to share their opinions during the call as well as ask questions of Idzik and Ryan.
You have to imagine that fans will bring up the topic of Mark Sanchez and the quarterback situation. It’ll be interesting to see how Idzik and Ryan react and how they answer the questions. Many fans are growing tired of Sanchez, so Ryan will have to do a lot of reasoning with the fans to convince them otherwise.
With the prices of stadium merchandise and food at the New Meadowlands Stadium and the disappointing outcomes of the last few seasons, it’s nice to see the organization taking responsibility for taking care of the fans. It’s nice to see them involve the season ticket holders, the ones who shell out thousands and thousands of dollars each year in order to help finance the stadium, in order to see their team not perform well. It’s a classy move on Idzik and the rest of the organization’s part, and it should get a great response.
