Ed Reed recently visited with the Houston Texans, and apparently they see eye to eye on a lot of things.
“Both of us want to get a championship, going to see if we can work some things out,” Reed said to KRIV-TV in Houston. “Conversations have been great, amazing, on the same page of what needs to get done and what we want to do.”
This looks more an more like a done deal and it could be wrapped up by tomorrow. The Baltimore Ravens are sure being stingy with their money considering the lavish contract Joe Flacco recently received.
“A guy like Ed Reed, I don’t think you can let him go — he’s a Raven legend, the things he’s done for that organization, you can’t lose a guy like that,” the recently traded Anquan Boldin said. Boldin was shipped to the San Francisco 49ers for a sixth round pick in what can only be describer as highway robbery.
I had the opportunity to interview J.J. Watt at Super Bowl media week and the idea of a defense that features Watt and Reed would be a truly dynamic combination. They would be able to control both the line of scrimmage and the secondary every game and if their offense takes steps forward, then that would be a Super Bowl caliber combination.
