Robert Griffin III Is Undefeated When Attending Basketball Games This Year

Daniel Shirey-USA TODAY Sports

Robert Griffin III was recently in his hometown, Copperas Cove, Tx., to debut “Robert Griffin III Boulevard”. He later went to the Baylor Bears’ 81-58 upset over No. 4 Kansas Jayhawks. Was he a factor in the victory over the top five powerhouse? Just ask the coach.

When Baylor Head Coach Scott Drew was asked if Griffin brough the team luck, he said, “he gets the credit for the pep talk on Friday in practice. He came in and shared what the Redskins talked about when they had their backs against the wall at 3-6. He’s a huge basketball fan. He was a very good basketball player in high school. He was just phenomenal with our guys. If he ever retires from football, he can be a great coach.”

A great coach? Wow that would be something. I could also see Griffin going into politics one day.

Griffin just seems to have the magic touch; when he attended his first Washington Wizards game the crowd chanted his name and then the Wizards overcame the Miami Heat. He also recently led the Washington Redskins back from a 3-6 record hole all the way to the NFC East champions. Best of luck to Griffin with his rehabilitation from his ACL tear; take your time Robert. All of Washington is rooting for you to come back healthy, just don’t rush anything.

Watch Redskins' Reed Pull In One-Handed Catch

The Washington Redskins look like they're on another level against the Green Bay Packers. Kirk Cousins has looked sharp, connecting with Jordan Reed on multiple occasions including this amazing one-handed catch. Later in the drive, Cousins would hit Reed again for a touchdown that gave the Redskins an 11-0 lead.
