There’s been plenty of talk when it comes to possible teams to go after New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz–who is currently a restricted free agent. Obviously, any team would be lucky to land a wide receiver as talented as Cruz, but there’s one team who is apparently out of the running to land the Giants wide receiver–the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts ruled out any possibility of Cruz coming on board for the 2013 season, but that doesn’t mean they still won’t consider bringing another wide receiver on board. Colts owner Jim Irsay has been teasing fans over the last couple of days about the team bringing on another wide receiver for the 2013 season, but ruled out the possibility of Cruz.

Now, the only question on the back of minds of Indianapolis fans–who could the mysterious wide receiver be?

Whoever it may end up being, it’s safe to say they won’t compared to being as effective as Cruz considering he’s emerged as one of the league’s top wide receivers over the last two years. After emerging as one of the top teams in the AFC last season, the Colts would certainly love to bring on a wide receiver like Cruz–but him being a restricted free agent makes things a little more difficult.

There’s no question Cruz would have made a great addition, but it seemed like a longshot from the beginning–so there’s no reason to be too upset by the move in the first place when it comes to the perspective of the Colts.
