There have been plenty of New York Jets rumors this offseason when it comes to where Tim Tebow could end up for the 2013 season. Obviously, last year’s experiment with Tebow was a complete bust for the Jets and while it’s difficult to imagine another NFL team taking a chance on the former first-round pick, it appears the quarterback is drawing interest from a different league.
Apparently, the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League have expressed interest in bringing Tebow on board and as crazy as it sounds–this may be his best option when it comes to playing time. If there’s anything to take away from the 2012, it’s Tebow just isn’t made for the NFL as his mechanics continue to be an issue and it may not be a bad idea for him to give the AFL a shot to help develop his skills as a quarterback.
New York was hoping Tebow would give them an advantage last season, but he was a failure from the start and could never seem to find a way to fit in the Jets’ offense. Despite helping the Denver Broncos reach the playoffs during the 2011 season, it’s clear that Tebow is still far from earning a starting job in the NFL again–so joining a team like the Predators may be his best option.
Otherwise–Tebow may just end up holding the clipboard on the sidelines in 2013 like he did all of last year.
