Jeff Garcia Says New York Jets Need to Get Rid of Tim Tebow

(Rob Foldy/USA Today Sports)

One of the hottest topics this offseason has been what the New York Jets would end up doing with Tim Tebow considering the team has been trying to trade him since the NFL Combine. At this point, it’s highly unlikely the Jets will be able to find a suitor for Tebow since any team interested would have traded for him by now, but if you ask former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia–he believes the team needs to get rid of Tebow no matter what.

Whether it’s done through a trade or release, Garcia made his opinion clear that New York needs to do whatever it takes to part ways with the quarterback and he’s clearly not the only one who feels this way. By now, the Jets have realized that bringing Tebow on board last season was a huge mistake considering he had zero impact on the offense and if anything–it proved Tebow may not be capable of even being a quarterback at the NFL level.

Tebow had plenty of concerns when he came to the Jets and things never got better during the 2012 season as he made it clear he still needs plenty of work on his mechanics. Garcia may not have been one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL during his career, but he certainly is experienced and knows what it takes to be successful.

If Garcia thinks getting rid of Tebow is the best option to push Mark Sanchez–the Jets should take his advice considering Garcia isn’t the only one who feels that way.
