The Tim Tebow saga is never a dull moment, taking a twist yesterday, when Tebow called this offseason “his best one yet.”

The New York Jets have openly discussed trading Tebow, but have come up empty. Too much surprise, Tebow isn’t really that phased.

“It’s nothing I can control, and like I’ve said ever since I was at Nease High School [which, like Sawgrass, is in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.], I really try not to worry about what I can’t control,” he said. “Just try to have the best attitude, have the best effort, a great work ethic, and so far this offseason has been a lot of fun. Been my best yet,” said Tebow at his foundations Gala & Golf classic.

Tebow also said he will arrive to camp with a “great attitude” even if it’s expected he won’t be a Jet much longer after camps start up.

“Yeah, I’ll be there Monday ready to work out and have a great attitude,” said Tebow.

This is one of the reasons why Tebow is so respected around the league. Despite the Jets openly requesting to trade Tebow, virtually saying that they will take any offers, he still will come to camp with a great attitude.

Tebow also noted that he still won’t change his position, in order to “save his career.”

The depth chart looks full already, and the draft hasn’t even come up yet. It is expected that the Jets will bring in a quarterback from the draft, and it is also expected it will be an open competition. Along with the draftee quarterback are Mark Sanchez, David Garrard, Greg McElroy and Tebow, if he does stay in the big apple.

It’ll be interesting to see if this was his best offseason yet, physically, mentally or skillfully, and the Jets can only hope that it is all three of them.
