This was one of the defining images of the 2012 NFL season. It shows Seattle Seahawks‘ wide receiver Golden Tate catching a pass from Russell Wilson, while Green Bay Packers‘ defensive back M.D. Williams “simultaneously” latched on.

This catch led to a Seahawks victory in front of a national stage on Monday Night Football. This was probably the most controversial game of the year, but it was also one of the most exciting games in the NFL’s regular season.

Whoever put together the schedule for the 2013 NFL season definitely took notice, as the Seahawks have two scheduled games on Monday night. The first game is against the St. Louis Rams week eight and the second matchup is week 13 against the New Orleans Saints.

This shows that the NFL is recognizing Pete Carroll’s Seahawks as one the most exciting teams in the league.

The offense was already electric, with Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch and Golden Tate, but with the addition of Percy Harvin, the Seahawks now boast the most dynamic offensive unit in the NFL.

The defense is also very exciting, with the “Legion of Boom” in the secondary featuring Brandon Browner, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor and Richard Sherman, who has become one the most popular players in the league.

The team will also play their division-rival the San Francisco 49ers in front of a national audience on Sunday night and they will see the Arizona Cardinals on a Thursday.

Carroll has the team headed in the right direction, and they are now becoming popular on a national stage. The Seahawks already had high expectations for the 2013 season, and all of these nationally televised games just add pressure.
