With the No. 8 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, there are plenty of directions the Buffalo Bills could go with as they look to bounce back from another disappointing season in which they finished with a 6-10 record. Obviously, the quarterback position is an area the Bills need to strongly consider and while they’ve expressed high interest in Syracuse‘s Ryan Nassib–it appears the team is also afraid of losing out on the quarterback to one of their division rivals.
Apparently, Buffalo is worried abou the New York Jets possibly taking Nassib before they have the chance to and it wouldn’t be a surprise considering all of the uncertainty surrounding Mark Sanchez at quarterback. While the Bills have the No. 8 pick, the Jets may have the opportunity to select Nassib with one of their first-round picks (No. 9 or No. 13) if he’s still available–so Buffalo may find themselves in the position to wonder whether or not it’s worth the risk in waiting for the later rounds.
There are plenty of questions surrounding whether or not Nassib is even worthy of being a first-round pick–which means the Bills could luck out by getting him later on if they decide to pass on him at No. 8. Unfortunately for them, this all comes down to how bad they really want Nassib on their roster and if it would be worth taking him at early on to avoid losing him to the Jets–that is if they were interested in taking the Syracuse star.
