2013 NFL Draft: Miami Dolphins Trade Up, Take Dion Jordan No. 3 Overall

The Miami Dolphins made the first big splash in the 2013 NFL Draft by trading up from No. 12 to No. 3 overall to take Oregon outside linebacker Dion Jordan. This was a surprising move as the Dolphins were expected to try and improve their offensive line. However, with all the major upgrades they made on offense this offseason in the additions of Mike Wallace and Dustin Keller to go along with the newly re-signed Brian Hartline, the Dolphins are clearly set on improving their team overall with the best pass rusher in this year’s class.

Jordan was a stud at Oregon who recorded five sacks as a senior and is extremely quick as a 3-4 outside linebacker. He should be a star for the Dolphins early in his career and spend a great deal of time in the spotlight down in South Beach.
