Should the Miami Dolphins Consider Bringing Tim Tebow on Board?

Now that Tim Tebow has officially cleared waivers after the New York Jets decided to part ways with him, only time will tell before determining where the quarterback could end up for the 2013 season. At this point, it’s difficult to imagine any teams jumping on the opportunity to bring Tebow on board next year, but one team that may make sense is the Miami Dolphins.

Sure, the team has made it clear that Ryan Tannehill is their starter at quarterback, but that doesn’t mean they could figure out a way to use Tebow on offense unlike the Jets were unable to do. Miami could always use an extra weapon on offense and if they could manage to use Tebow the right way–who knows what to expect for the 2013 season.

Of course, there’s no reason to believe the Dolphins are interested at this point and this is nothing but speculation for now. It’s clear that Tebow wouldn’t be able to compete with Tannehill for the starting job, but at this point–this seems like one of those situations where the Dolphins would have nothing to lose.

If anything, bringing on Tebow could turn out to be one of those low risk, high reward situations if they could figure out the correct way to use him. Even if they didn’t want to use him as a quarterback–it may not be a bad idea for Miami to consider using him at a different position for the 2013 season and see if he were mor eeffective there.
