What Was Former Detroit Lions WR Titus Young Thinking With Two Arrests Within 15 Hours?

As bad as it sounds, it really doesn’t come as much of a surprise these days when a professional athlete finds themselves in trouble with the law and gets arrested–which is exactly what happened this past weekend with former Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young. However, Young takes the cake when it comes to most other arrests–mainly because he managed to pull it off twice within 15 hours.

Young was arrested early Sunday morning for DUI and to top it off, he thought it would be a good idea to try and break his mustang out of the tow yard shortly after his release–which has to be one of the dumbest acts anyone has pulled off. The fact that Young thought he would be able to get away with jumping over a fence to this tow company and not get caught is nothing short of ridiculous and this is the perfect example of how immature Young is not only as an athlete, but an individual.

It’s a shame really to see Young’s career hit this point considering how much potential there was when the Lions originally drafted him. Young could have developed into an effective weapon for Matthew Stafford in the passing game, but now there’s no telling what the NFL has in store for the wideout.

Either way, this type of behavior by Young is just embarrassing and one can only wonder how many more incidents he has like this before finally deciding to grow up.
