Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is known for being a very talented wide receiver who is filled with potential. He is also known for being a trouble maker who has a hard time keeping his eye on the prize. With that being said, Bryant is determined to stay focused in 2013 so that he can take his game to the next level.

“I’m comfortable with my life and I’m enjoying being in the NFL,” Bryant said, according to The Dallas Morning News. “I wish it could have been a couple of years back, but I had to go through a couple of things to figure it out.

“I think I’ve got it. I’m just more focused on my job and doing what I love to do, and that’s to play football.”

Bryant hauled in 92 receptions for 1,382 yards and 12 touchdowns in 16 games last season. He ranked sixth in the NFL in receiving yards and third in the league in touchdowns behind only Eric Decker and James Jones. He did manage to fumble twice and even lost one of them, but the fact that he played with several injuries throughout the season made up for it.

The expectations in Dallas are certainly high for the upcoming season. Many experts have the Cowboys winning the NFC East and making some noise in the NFL playoffs for their early predictions. Obviously, there is a lot of work that must be accomplished before such chatter can become a reality, but it is nice to know there are believers.

If Dallas wants to go the distance the team will need quarterback Tony Romo to step up. Romo will consistently look for his safety blanket, tight end Jason Witten, but it will ultimately be up to Bryant to help the signal caller get the job done. Romo and Bryant have an opportunity to become one of the deadliest quarterback-receiver combinations in the NFL. If they are able to be on the same page throughout the season, opposing defenses will be in big trouble.

Bryant has been able to stay focused during the offseason by surrounding himself with the right people. Now that he has weathered the storm without getting into any trouble, it is important that he stay focused during training camp and preseason. If Bryant wants to put a Super Bowl ring on his finger then he will need to stay dedicated and passionate about the game he loves.
