Ahmad Bradshaw Would Make a Great Fit For Indianapolis Colts

After being linked to numerous teams, it appears former New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw may be on the verge of reaching a deal with the Indianapolis Colts for the 2013 season–which would be a great addition for an offense that emerged as one of the biggest surprises last year.

The Colts brought Bradshaw in for an interview on Thursday and it seems like only a matter of time before the two sides reach an agreement as Indianapolis looks to make another playoff run for the second-straight season. After rushing for 1,015 yards and six rushing touchdowns last season, it was a surprise to see the Giants part ways with Bradshaw, but it was a move that had to be made considering how much depth they had at running back on the roster.

If Indianapolis does come through by landing a deal with Bradshaw–this would make a great addition for the 2013 season. The Colts may have ranked in the top 10 last year overall when it comes to offense, but there’s no question the ground game could have seen some improvement as they ranked 22nd by averaging just 104.4 rushing yards per game.

With Bradshaw, this would give the Colts a running back capable of being just as much of a threat in the passing game as well. Now that Andrew Luck has a year of experience under his belt, Indianpolis will have even higher expectations heading into the 2013 season and the addition of Bradshaw would certainly give them a better chance of competing for the AFC South title–so it will be interesting to see whether or not this deal falls into place.
