I wish I was little bit taller, I wish I was a baller. I wish I had a girl who looked good, I would call her. I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat and a six four Impala”.  Yes, I am quoting Skee-Lo

Apologies, I have a bad tendency to break out in “Old School” raps songs for no apparent reason. Why did I break out in a Skee-Lo rap song? Well, every time I see or read about 6-foot-7, 239-pound wide receiver Ifeanyi Momah (pronounced E-feind-ee Mow-ma), I think about Skee-Lo.

Momah was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles back in March. Can you say “Red Zone” target? He is the biggest wide receiver for the Eagles since Harold Carmichael; if he can turn out to be like Carmichael, that would be lovely.

Besides his height, what was the reason the Eagles signed him? He ran a 4.4  forty in workouts before the Eagles signed him. Not only is Momah tall, he’s got some skill as well.

Momah hasn’t played football since 2011, when he was still with Boston College. His overall numbers from college do not jump out at you. He had only 39 catches in his college career to go with 629 yards and six touchdowns; however he was skilled enough to play defensive end in certain situations for Boston College.

He tore his ACL in his first game of his senior season with Boston College and missed the rest of the season. He also was out of football is 2012, like I said prior. The odds are against him to make the Eagles, but they have been against him for a while now, and he has battled through.

Here’s wishing he makes the Eagles.  I love rooting for guys like this.
