Indianapolis Colts Make Great Move By Signing Ahmad Bradshaw to One-Year Deal
Last season, the Indianapolis Colts emerged as one of the biggest surprises of 2012 as they bounced back from a horrendous 2-14 season in 2011 to make the playoffs with rookie Andrew Luck calling the shots under center. Now, expectations will be even higher for the Colts heading into 2013 and while they’ve done everything in their power this offseason to make sure they stay contenders once again–the team made a great addition on Tuesday by signing running back Ahmad Bradshaw.

The star running back agreed to a one-year deal with the Colts as Bradshaw has been looking for a new home since his release from the New York Giants this offseason. After the two parties met last week, it seemed like only a matter of time before Indianapolis struck a deal with Bradshaw and despite his release from the Giants–there’s no reason why Bradshaw shouldn’t be able to post up big numbers once again in 2013.
Unfortunately for Bradshaw, money ended up being one of the main reasons behind the Giants’ decision to release Bradshaw and if there’s anything to take away from his game, it would be he’s capable of being just as dangerous in the passing game as the ground game. Vick Ballard showed potential at times for the Colts during the 2012 season, but the addition of Bradshaw will certainly boost a ground game that ranked 22nd in the league last season.
Look out AFC South–Indianapolis is making all of the right moves to compete for that division title in 2013.
