Buffalo Bills tight end Scott Chandler is an imposing sight to say the least, as he is 6-foot-7 and weighs in around 270 pounds. This year he is driven to be better than he’s been in the last two seasons and he was no slacker in them having six touchdowns in each. If he stays healthy for all 16 games in 2013, he should have no trouble eclipsing his totals of the last two seasons just for the sheer fact the the Bills finally did something to bolster their receiver corps.
They drafted wide receivers Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin; also they brought in highly talented but troubled wide receiver Da’Rick Rogers as an undrafted free agent. If these three guys pan out even about half as good as expected, the Bills will have a dramatically improved offensive attack.
Chandler is still recovering from a torn ACL that occurred in Week 16 versus the Miami Dolphins in Miami after a reception, but is catching balls and starting to run routes. He went down from no contact and it didn’t do then quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick any favors for the rest of the season.
This year is different, there is a different aura around this team since Chan Gailey was fired and Doug Marrone was named his replacement. And if E.J. Manuel is at the helm come Week 1 of the season, the team could shock the world and be playoff bound in 2013, and Chandler will literally be a huge offensive factor in this radical one-year change for the team.
