Rant Sports Interview with NFC Defensive Rookie of the Year Luke Kuechly
Thanks to the good folks at Gatorade I had a chance today to speak with Luke Kuechly the middle linebacker for the Carolina Pathers and you can hear the entire interview in the link to soundcloud below.

Kuechly is a worker, and as a guy who covers a lot of Prep Sports I really admire him. He was a three star rated linebacker coming out of high school and not recruited by any of the top programs. By the end of his college career? He was a sure fire NFL first round draft pick, and that does not happen by accident. Now he is the NFC Defensive Rookie of the Year with a bright future ahead of him.
Kuechly participated today in the Offense-Defense Charlotte youth football camp on behalf of the Gatorade Beat the Heat program. He also gave an on-field talk to the kids about proper hydration and heat safety for athletes to stay safe. Guarantee you that there were some happy young campers down in Charlotte today no matter how hot it was.
More thoughts about this interview will be coming out later this week for sure and it was a pleasure talking with Kuechly who is clearly a hardworking and yet also humble young man.
Shout out again to Gatorade, who will be having their Athlete of the Year Awards on July 16th; look out for some more content at that point and if you have any comments feel just hit me up on twitter.
