Keith Pough is a linebacker that new Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine has to be drooling over as he can play outside or inside linebacker as it was shown in the East-West Shrine game. It’s sort of fitting that Pough played his college football for the Howard University Bison as they have virtually the same logo on their helmet as the Bills. Additionally, Pough can be a linebacker that can have a nose for the ball behind the line of scrimmage as he set the FCS College football record for most tackles for loss in a career with 72. With a number like that, he should have been drafted somewhere between the fourth and seventh rounds. Also, he was a wide receiver in high school and knows how to drop back in coverage extremely well.

Pough has extreme intensity; it has been compared to sure-fire hall of fame and fellow linebacker Ray Lewis, which is high praise to say the least. After talking to people that knew him at Howard, they all said the best thing about Pough was how high of character he has. Also with the high character and motor, Pough should bring it play in and play out for the Bills for years to come ideally next to fellow young linebacker Nigel Bradham. If he lives up to the hype he has gotten despite being an undrafted free agent pick up, he could turn out to be an absolute steal for the Bills, but as they say time will ultimately tell.
