There’s been plenty of interesting topics from the offseason, but nothing takes the cake more than former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez and how he’s currently being investigated for the murder of Odin Lloyd. With all of the facts that have emerged over the last couple of weeks regarding the case, it’s easy to understand why nobody should any support towards Hernandez–so what on earth are Maurkice Pouncey and Mike Pouncey thinking by showing support with special hats?

The Pouncey brothers have received all sorts of heat after a photo emerged of the two of them wearing hats with “Free Hernandez” written on them.  For those of you that didn’t know, the Pouncey brothers played with Hernandez at Florida–so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise how difficult this must be to see Hernandez go through these difficult times.

Still, there’s no reason why any individual should be supporting Hernandez considering how all signs point to the tight end being guilty. By displaying these types of hats out in public, the Pouncey brothers are basically sticking up for an individual who is being accused of murder–which is also disturbing.

Thanks to this smart decision to show off this personally made gear, the Pouncey brothers are receiving all sorts of criticism–which is the last thing they need to deal with at this point in the offseason. Let’s hope these guys play it smart and just get rid of the hats in general because at this point–nobody should be showing any support for Hernandez.
