Kansas City Chiefs Aim For Loudest Stadium: At Least They’ll Have That
If the Kansas City Chiefs hang their hat on absolutely nothing else this season, their fans want to make sure they at least have one accomplishment in hand.
‘Terrorhead Returns’ is a Facebook group created by Cheifs fans to announce that they are going after the Guiness World Record for loudest crowd roar at a sports stadium. For a while now, the Chiefs haven’t had much to be proud of. This, at least, would give them something to cheer for — no pun intended.
The Seattle Seahawks have been known as the loudest stadium in the NFL for a while now as their fans are labeled as the “12th Man,” giving the notion that the team in fact has 12 men on the field instead of the allotted 11.
The Chief’s group has made their statement on the page saying they would like to “re-affirm and establish our long known history of Arrowhead Stadium as being the ‘Loudest Stadium in the NFL.’”
To the fans, I say good luck.
I’m sure you all have a shot to be cheering a bit more often now that you get to watch an established quarterback under center at Arrowhead. Alex Smith was signed and brought in under new head coach Andy Reid to help change the recent losing ways of the Chiefs.
They may have a decent shot to surprise some people this year as they boast the AFC’s leading rusher from 2012 in Jamaal Charles and a Pro Bowl receiver in Dwayne Bowe. Hopefully, for the fans’ sake, they can put it all together and give them something to cheer about that means something in the NFL realm.
