Chicago Bears: Jay Cutler Shows Fun-Loving Side, Rocking Pink D.A.R.E. Shirt at Fundraiser
You either love him or you hate him, but the truth is, he doesn’t care either way.
Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is quite the polarizing guy, and typically has found himself amongst the most disliked professional athletes every single year. But, despite the public perception, his teammates and peers tend to disagree.
Why? Well, most opinions on Cutler given my his teammates and people that know him the best revolve around the guy’s desire to win, his toughness or his heart for helping others who may be less fortunate.
Shocker? You bet. Believe it? That’s your call.
Those that may not know, Cutler has battled diabetes for quite some time and as soon as he turned pro decided to start a foundation to help raise awareness and fight it.
On Thursday, Cutler again demonstrated his charitable side in holding a fundraiser for the Jay Cutler Foundation, the quarterback’s personal foundation which fights against diabetes and supports those, like himself, battling the life-long obstacle.
Cutler and his newly-wedded wife Kristen Cavallari showed up to the event in perfectly appropriate attire, with Cavallari sporting what looked like a spandex, cheetah-print tank top and some trendy turquoise shades.
The man of the hour, though, stole the show. Cutler was dressed in a hot pink D.A.R.E. t-shirt to go with neon orange above-the-knee shorts and a pair of knee-high socks comfortably fit in his vintage Nikes.
His critics often focus on the inability to get it done on the field, but they will never be able to say the same about his off-the-field activities. Any dude that sports a pink t-shirt and orange short shorts for a good cause is OK by me.
