The news is out!
Superstar quarterback Robert Griffin III will return to play for the Washington Redskins in the 2013 NFL season, and he is healthy. Fans, players, coaches, family, and friends are all excited to watch Griffin return.
Redskins right guard Chris Chester stated, ” Its great news. I’m really excited about it.” He further states that he is excited to pick up the high caliber of play that the Redskins left off on at the end of the 2012 season.
Can the Redskins return to their high caliber offense that everyone saw in 2012? Well, to answer that and to respond to any Griffin haters out there, yes they can. Just ask yourself what many people asked last season: can Minnesota Vikings‘ Adrian Peterson return to his high caliber of play after his season ending injury? Well, in case the stats have not answered that for you, let’s let the professionals respond.
Dr. James Andrews, a renowned sports recovery physician, stated that Griffin’s recovery was “superhuman.” He continues to compare Griffin to Peterson, stating, “RG III is one those superhumans. First patient I ever had like that was Bo Jackson. And recently I, of course, had Adrian Peterson, who is also superhuman…They have an unbelievable ability to recover, where as a normal human being may not be able to recover.”
Peterson returned in 2012 to have one of the greatest NFL seasons by any running back ever. He will now be fantasy football’s likely undisputed No. 1 overall pick in 2013. Anyone else think Griffin could follow suit?
