Detroit Lions Rumors: Chad Johnson Spotted at Practice; Interested in Joining Team?
Unfortunately at this point in his career, the amount of teams interested in a wide receiver like Chad Johnson are slim as he’s not only proven to be on the decline from a statistics standpoint, but his off the field issues have been a reason for concern as well. Even the Miami Dolphins made the decision to pass on Johnson last season and while it seems unlikely any team will pick up the wideout before the 2013 season–it’s difficult not to wonder if at least one team is interested.
Detroit Lions rumors are beginning to heat up about the team’s possible interest in bringing the wideout on board after he was spotted at the team’s practice on Friday. Even if he was in attendance as an observer, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the thought of pitching the idea didn’t at least come to mind for Johnson–who seems like he would take a chance with any team at this point in his career.

As mentioned before, there’s no reason to make a big deal out of this just yet considering he’s only in attendance as an observer and is apparently in town for his daughter, but we’ve seen moves like this happen before. Just imagine what the 2013 season would look like for Detroit with a wide receiver duo of Johnson and Calvin Johnson–it certainly would be interesting.
