Richardson put up great numbers as a rookie, rushing for 950 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also had 367 receiving yards and one touchdown. So I guess you could say he had a great rookie year.
Now that he has had a chance to adjust to the NFL, he is going to shine for Cleveland. It would help if the passing game could shine as well, but we will see how Brandon Weeden does in his second year in the pros.
Weeden definitely has some work to do, though, as he threw for 14 touchdowns and 17 interceptions last year. This is a Browns team that finished with a 5-11 record, though, so more than just Weeden will have to improve.
Richardson has a ways to go before he can be an elite rusher in this league, but with a big season he will not be too far behind. His 11 touchdowns were good enough for fifth (tied) place in the NFL last year for running backs.
Adrian Peterson is easily the best RB in the game right now and it would be hard to see Richardson rushing for more yards than him, but you never know.
It does help that Richardson is a pretty good receiver in his own right. He was the fourth leading receiver in terms of yards last season for the Browns. Whether the case, Richardson is a star waiting to go off and he will have a huge season.
