The Denver Broncos has one of the best quarterbacks in the game, a group of talented wide receivers and one of the best young pass rushers in the league. There is no wonder why team executive vice president John Elway believes the Broncos can bounce back from a difficult loss to the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs and reach the Super Bowl in 2013.
Elway was quick to point out that certain things must fall Denver’s way. For one, Von Miller must overcome his possible four-game suspension. The team cannot miss their best defensive player for a quarter of the season, especially when he is having a terrific training camp. The Broncos also need Peyton Manning to stay healthy because he is the key to their entire season.
Elway believes the players can use their tough loss to the Ravens in the AFC Divisional Playoffs to motivate them to go above and beyond in 2013. Many fans may notice that Elway’s Broncos suffered a similar fate in 1996 and then went on to win two straight Super Bowls.
“And believe me, that’s what I’m praying that we’re going to do these next two, three, four years is to use last year and be able to get over the hump and get to the Super Bowl and be able to win it,” Elway said, according to ABC News.
There is no question Denver has all of the pieces in place to make a run, which is why they are considered heavy favorites to represent the AFC in Super Bowl XLVIII.
