Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson Shows ex-Coach Andy Reid Some Love Via Instagram

It looks like WR DeSean Jackson harbors no harsh feelings when it comes to former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid, as the fifth-year wide-out decided to give his former boss a big shout-out via social media giant, Instagram, on Wednesday night.

Jackson posted a vintage photo of Reid in the Eagles’ locker-room wearing a Hawaiian-style button-up shirt, flashing a rarely seen ‘Big Red’ smile.

Along with the photo, Jackson included a highly complimentary, heartfelt message.

“Big fella big Red !! Cool dude >> fly man .. Appreciate him giving me the opportunity coming outta college showing my talents to the league !! #Luv,” Jackson posted under his Instagram surname; jaccpot10.

The public love and generous accolades delivered by Jackson are certainly nice to see considering he and Reid had some well-documented rifts in the past. But it looks like Jackson has put their former spat behind him, and no longer wishes to butt heads with the big man.

Reid and the Eagles nabbed Jackson in the second round (49th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft, after the youngster put together two consecutive All-American campaigns at the University of California-Berkley. Jackson immediately burst onto the NFL stage, showing some of the most explosive speed and acceleration ever seen in the big leagues. And even though D-Jack has had a duo of down years in 2011 and 2012, we all know that he is still an elite talent.

With Reid now manning the head coaching spot for the Kansas City Chiefs, Jackson will be taking direction from a new “big fella” in Eagles first-year head coach Chip Kelly. Fortunately for Jackson, Kelly’s high-octane spread offense is a match made in heaven for the speedster.

But rest assured, Jackson and Reid are set to engage in a great big bear-hug before their Week 3 match-up, when the Chiefs visit the Birds for a Thursday night showdown.
