There were plenty of interesting moves during the 2013 NFL offseason and after spending his first six seasons in the Big Apple–it was difficult to see the New York Giants part ways with Ahmad Bradshaw. The running back won two Super Bowls with the Giants before signing with the Indianapolis Colts this offseason and with these two teams squaring off this weekend for a preseason matchup, New York showed some class by honoring Bradshaw with a video tribute–which was awesome.

Even Bradshaw admit he was shocked by the surprise put together by the Giants before the team’s preseason game against the Colts and it just shows how difficult of a decision it was for them to part ways with the running back during the offseason after six seasons. He may have dealt with a handful of injuries, but Bradshaw had played a key role in the Giants’ running game over the last four seasons–which included 30 rushing touchdowns.

Now that he’s no longer a part of the team, the Colts hope Bradshaw can manage to be as effective in their ground game as the team looks to put up a fight with the Houston Texans in the AFC South. Nobody expected Indianapolis to make an impact right away with Andrew Luck under center as a rookie, but after making the playoffs last year–expectations will be even higher in 2013.

As for the Giants–props on their end for pulling off a classy move to honor their former running back.
