Buffalo Bills Preseason Week 3: Washington Redskins’ Pierre Garcon Is The 3rd Head Of Cerberus
Pierre Garcon of the Washington Redskins is the prime-receiving target for whoever is the quarterback down in our Nation’s capital. While he cashed in after leaving the Indianapolis Colts after the 2011 season via free agency where he was paid handsomely (five-year $42.5 million, $20.5 million guaranteed) by the Redskins, he hasn’t lived up to his paycheck as he missed six games and only had 44 catches last season. This could be likely due to the differences in coaching schemes between the two teams. Garcon was a star for the division three-powerhouse Mount Union College who always seemed like he was poised to be a star receiver as he seemingly progressed every single year as a pro.
If now second-year quarterback Robert Griffin III and him get on the same page and plays in all 16 games, huge things could happen for this Redskins team could be even better than last year where they won the NFC East Division and had 10 wins, so 12 wins might not be out of the realm of the unlikely. While Garcon will have a returning Fred Davis after he ruptured his Achilles’ tendon and also wide receivers Santana Moss and Leonard Hankerson will provide support by thinning out opposing team’s defenses.
All and all, it should be interesting to watch how long Pierre Garcon plays on versus the Buffalo Bills on Saturday night and at Fedex Field down in Landover, Maryland. If he plays the entire first half, which is extremely likely, the Bills secondary will have to shut him down.
