Buffalo Bills Quarterback Kevin Kolb’s Career Rumored to be Over
According to Tim Graham of the Buffalo News, the Buffalo Bills are treating quarterback Kevin Kolb as if he’s played his last down in the NFL. Kolb received a concussion in last night’s 30-7 blowout loss to the Washington Redskins. With concussions being such a hot button issue these days and rightfully so, this might be it for the former second round pick.
As a person who’s had a few concussions they aren’t something to mess with. They take time to heal, and they take longer each time as the brain doesn’t heal since the cells up there don’t reproduce and you kill a ton of them in the process. The best way to describe a concussion is that it’s your brain shaking up against your skull; it’s not a pleasant feeling to say the least.
With the news of Kolb likely done, the Bills did complete two transactions including signing veteran quarterback Matt Leinart and trading for Thaddeus Lewis from the Detroit Lions for linebacker Chris White. Frankly, this just forces the Bills’ hand that much more to hope that rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel is healthy and ready to go Week 1 as they take on the New England Patriots at what should be an extremely loud Ralph Wilson Stadium.
All in all, it’s never a dull moment here in Western New York as it is extremely trying some days to be a Bills fan. But they always seem to pull some magic out when you least expect it.
