Ryan Spadola is now officially a football player for the New York Jets. To quote hip-hop star Drake, “Started From The Bottom, Now We Here.” You are officially going to be playing in the 2013 NFL season. Now the real work begins to see if you can help the Jets get back to the playoffs.

Spadola this upcoming season should remind Jet fans of another Jets wide receiver named Wayne Chrebet. They have similarities in they were both undrafted free agents and natives of the state of New Jersey. Hopefully the similarities wont stop there when the season begins as Spadola can be as durable as Chrebet was. As our current wide receiver core is known to be injury prone. If Spadola can reach Chrebet’s first season totals of 16GP, 66REC, 726YDS and four TDs with the Jets, then fans of the green and white will know for sure Spadola is the real deal.

Earlier today, Spadola made his announcement and excitement via his twitter account:

To say that Spadola is appreciative of his goal being met and the support he has received is an understatement. It just goes to show how far hard work, dedication and prioritizing will take you in life. Jet fans, something tells me he will light it up on the field in Metlife Stadium this season, enjoy!
